Prokupac from Prokuplje is one of the greatest
and most famous producers of natural brandies in Serbia with the
annual processing of 40 million liters and the bottling of 25
million liters.

The company's raw material base is complemented with millions of plum trees
of this region, owned by private producers-farmers, continuously cooperating
with the company. One of the most famous products from the production range of Prokupac is the natural plum brandy known as
Manastirka (Monastery
Old Plum Brandy Slivovitz).
Natural brandies are produced by the traditional process of plum
fermentation in wooden vessels in traditional ways in brandy
stills and then again distilled up to the necessary strength in modern
distillation. Cherishing, ripening and keeping these brandies has only been
done in oak barrels for at least 10 years. The brandies are of high quality
and with ripening they get a golden-yellow color and a special aroma
specific only for the plums of this area.
The products of Prokupac are successfully placed at European markets
(especially German, French, Austrian) as well as in USA, Australia and New
Zealand. Monastery Brandy is produced of the highest-quality Pozegaca plums. A special technology gives the product of a
twice-distilled brandy of supreme quality which lays oak-tree
barrels for twelve years a regular phase in its production.
Its original aroma and taste are transformed into the most
beautiful bouquet characteristic for old plum brandy. As such, the brandy has been awarded the highest champion
medals at all important international fairs. Has been awarded
over 70 gold medals for the quality at various domestic and
international fairs of wines and alcoholic drinks. It is the
medalist of "Food/Europe AWARD" from Barcelona and London. It is
the champion of Belgrade, Novi Sad (Serbia),
Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina) and Ljubljana (Slovenia).
